The Occulan Archives dives deeper into the artifacts, histories, and recovered writings from across the Aeturnus Continuum. This entry, drawn from “The Last War of Artriu” explores the Feyyan Beast tamers

“It has been told by our Elders, who intermingled with the folk of Northrin from before our recording, that some of our methods in beast taming were known by the tribes of the Feyyan.  Though it may have been common for both of our races to use them, the Feyyan have been observed employing their own dominion circles to enchant impressive arrays of unique creatures.  The circles would be made up of any number of tamers along with their workings.  Often, they would surround themselves with charms, totems and offerings which would lull a beast into a standing slumber, and along with perfumes, chants and invokations; charming songs were sung - each unique to the animal of interest, where the beast would dutifully abide the enchanter’s commandments. While effective, it was also reported that the beasts would require this ritual frequently so as not to disobey their masters.  And so a tradition of their practitioners would dedicate themselves to this act of taming.”

The Feyyan are a fierce and proud race originating from the Shelflands of Rinnaglio, descended from the predatory Feyya beasts that once stalked the region. Known for their sharp, animalistic features and agile, powerful builds, the Feyyan possess keen senses and a dominant nature. This deep bond with the ways of their former kin make them exceptional warriors, perfectly adapted to the violent nature of their homeland. The Feyyan culture is steeped in tradition and the worshiping of their Gods, with a strong emphasis on strength, honor, and glory in battle.

The Gol’Thogg — A priest-worker of the Feyyan, who manipulates beasts using a mysterious force native to the planet; using ritual invokation and tools of their own making, they meticulously coax their quarry to service, using circles of dominion to draw them in.

The Feyyan/Sonial hybrids of the island city of Kyle. They would roam the lands in search of beasts to capture.  They became adept at the ways of Echor and could use its power to tame the wilds around them.  Hailing from an obscure Island near the Chide Sea, They would fight with the Feyya often, but were also co-mingled, due to trade and power structures.  Many of their kind were nomads which would roam the lands of the North, and although, these folk would span across Artriu.

Warning of Therik:

“The Necruldra, rooted at birth into the soil. Tangled but moving, mud heaving and parting.  In an age where the sun hid in fear, the un-promise of the mean. It stood watch before, yet set its course like a nomad — and where it went; the dreams of the young lay ruined in its wake.”
