Occulan Studios is a production studio dedicated to building an original, self-owned fictional universe that spans across games, animation, publishing, and beyond. The focus is long-form storytelling; carefully constructed - with deep lore, strong visual identity, and stories designed to evolve within over time. Timelines, cultures, characters, and mythologies are built to support multiple formats and multi-generational storytelling. What we’re building is meant to be explored, questioned, and returned to. Not just one story, but many, woven together.
This IP is crafted for longevity — it’s modular, immersive, and designed to grow. Occulan Studios exists to create fictional worlds that feel real, and stories that carry weight. This is just the beginning.

Occulan Studios was founded by American Illustrator J.L. Lockwood, bringing to life an idea that first took shape in the late 1990s. Inspired by the breadth of work of countless authors, directors and artists, J.L. Lockwood crafted an original fictional universe at the heart of the studio. Occulan Studios represents years of meticulous world-building, thoughtful planning, and creative experimentation. As Director and Founder, J.L.Lockwood aims to make an impact in games, publishing and entertainment with a unique vision and memorable stories.
