The Occulan Archives dives deeper into the artifacts, histories, and recovered writings from across the Aeturnus Continuum. This entry, drawn from “Strange Tales of the Aeturnus Continuum” explores the Nimjian race and their Vesselform ships which crawl the void of the Bell Quadrant.

The Nimjian vessel formations are varied by function and come in different castes: some focused on heavy weaponry, some on logistics, others for command, and others for quickly darting through a zone. Though many more variants exist, the most central to the Nimj are the vast Kani’labi — motherships which channel the Xixtis web, support peripheral vesselforms, and act as mobile communities where the Nimjian thrive.

Though formidable in battle, the Nimjians are not invulnerable, for the universe offers challenges even to the most brave and efficient factions.

Much like the Metroform sprawls found on Nimjian colonies, the Stellarform Vessels are designed with purpose in mind — transport, dwelling, proliferation, assimilation, and war — all in one.

And unlike the land-based Metroforms, each vessel node houses a single Elder Mind, containing the engram or soul-echo of a chosen elder — often, but not always, a former Pallas’kin or vessel commander; their spirits were recorded and channeled through their legacy as leaders in war and in thought. Though the guidance of the Elder Mind is essential to the vessel, the active Pallas’kin are still free to choose their own path
