The Occulan Archives dives deeper into the artifacts, histories, and recovered writings from across the Aeturnus Continuum. This entry, drawn from “The Last War of Artriu” explores Planet Artriu during the Age of Ancients. Artriu bore life through a long evolutionary process. Below are a few key moments captured by archivists:
Fig 1. The Zemes diversify
It is thought that life on Planet Artriu emerged deep within the oceans with simple, tiny creatures called the Zemes. Far below the chloric waters, they grew, diversified and evolved into more complex forms as time wore on.
Earlier lineages were abundant in the life-waters and served as a source of nutrition as the new breeds seized the opportunity — hunting them in the open abyss.
Fig 2. The emergence of the Trinnads
Scholars have posited that after many thousands of years life began to creep out of the waters, forming small colonies along the rims of the oceans. Trinnads — largest among them, were abundant. These stationary organisms soaked in the energy of Dreago — Artriu’s blue dwarf sun, waiting patiently for opportunities to feed.
By absorbing chloric gasses from the outer-land sprawl, it is now known that their presence altered the climate for new generations of life that would develop in the following epochs.
Fig 3. A Gygoron catches a primitive Reing
New findings suggest that as life spread on the surface, creatures of the ocean shallows continued to evolve. Many species would form in the spoutways due to the ever-present pressures of survival — including the Gygoron, Reing and countless more.
During this epoch, Planet Artriu was on a path to ecological stability; though many of its creatures were cunning predators, many more would find shelter within the cavernous spoutway eco-system.
Fig 4. A Proto-Tritian flyer
It is theorized that as the fight for survival pressed on, adaptive species emerged out from the waters and onto the landscape. With the proliferation of land-dwelling species, the flying mammalian-type Proto-Tritians would rule the skies — while other creatures would trot, crawl and skitter across the outer-lands of Artriu. An expansion of floral networks and a bloom of new animals spread rapidly across the surface, making way for a further expansion of life to occur within every pocket of the planet.

The unearthed histories of Planet Artriu have unveiled many lineages of life spread across its land and within its waters. Many creatures have been archived dwelling among the abundance strange, alien biomes you will traverse in Occulan Studios’ latest game project: “The Last War of Artriu”. According to this mapped evolutionary chart, seekers would encounter many wild beasts and native kin-folk along the ‘seeker’s path’ to save the planet.
