Occulan Studios is a production studio dedicated to building an original, self-owned fictional universe that spans across games, animation, publishing, and beyond.

Our focus is long-form storytelling; carefully constructed - with deep lore, strong visual identity, and stories designed to evolve within over time. We develop timelines, cultures, characters, and mythologies built to support multiple formats and multi-generational storytelling.

To fans: what we’re building is meant to be explored, questioned, and returned to. This is continuity with intention. Not just one story, but many, woven together.

To collaborators and partners: our IP is crafted for longevity, not churn. What we create is modular, immersive, and designed to grow.

Occulan Studios exists to create fictional worlds that feel real, and stories that carry weight.

This is just the beginning.

The Aeturnus Continuum

The Aeturnus Continuum is the expansive fictional universe at the heart of Occulan Studios. Spanning from the mythic Age of Ancients to a far-reaching, interstellar Age of Conflict. It’s a persistent, evolving world designed to support a wide array of stories across time, genre, and medium.

Inspired by the depth of Tolkien’s Middle-earth and the reach of Lucas’s galaxy far, far away, Aeturnus is built to be both vast in scope and distinct in identity. Every era, from the primal lands of Artriu to the fractured futures of Govvg and Torvin, is crafted with meticulous lore, cultural nuance, and narrative purpose.

It’s an ongoing creation; and as development continues, more of the Continuum will emerge here on our site, in our games, through publishing, and beyond.

Starmap

  • The Mythic World Before Worlds

Said to predate known history, Artriu is a world wrapped in legend. With three moons and a volatile climate shaped by its blue sun, it birthed strange ecosystems, ancient magic, and the first sentient cultures. Some claim Artriu’s lifeforce; known only as Echor, seeded the rise of all modern species across the Bell Quadrant. Though the world itself vanished, echoes of its power remain.

  • The Broken Cradle of the Nimjians

Once a tectonically sealed planet, Nimj evolved beneath dense crustal strata; its earliest life forms thriving in thermal pockets far from the surface. After a catastrophic lunar impact fractured the crust, its subterranean species were exposed to vacuum-ravaged terrain. From that trauma rose the Nimjians: adaptive, cold-weather builders who mastered survival by reshaping the world around them.

  • The Ooze Giant and Its Swarming Moons

A vast, semi-gaseous world wrapped in corrosive clouds, Terwihg is home to one of the most alien ecologies in the Continuum. With nearly ten moons and no true oceans, its surface is riddled with pulsing ooze spires; vascular-like systems that attract life as rivers once did. The atmosphere teems with spore-borne toxins, chief among them the deadly cokkoder fuzz. Each of Terwihg’s moons hosts its own offshoot of the Terwihgian race, uniquely adapted to the conditions of their orbiting world.

  • The Sunless Crucible of the Wiketh

A lightless world orbiting a dead star, Zepsz is warmed only by the fury of its own core. Its surface lies barren, but deep beneath, the planet’s inner crust stretches into endless chasms; battlegrounds of a forgotten age. It’s said that here, in the warmth of the dark, the Wiketh rose to supremacy by eradicating all rival life. Nothing hides long in Zepsz's underworld. And nothing weaker survives.

  • The Entropic Wound

Encircled by life-rich neighbors, Zorrlahst is a planetary anomaly; stripped of balance, ruled by predation. Once home to a thriving biosphere, its ecosystem collapsed after the rise of a parasitic species whose dominance twisted the natural order. What remains is a bleak world of hunger and ruin, where survival means becoming part of the corruption… or feeding it. The Zorrlahstians, forged in this crucible, are living echoes of a planet devoured by its own evolutionary apex.

  • The Iceborn Refuge

Drifting through the void for eons, Govvg was once a frozen husk - until it fell into orbit of a blue sun on the far edge of the Triad Sector. Beneath its glacial shell, heat bloomed, carving vast cavern networks and temperate refuges where life could root. Today, Govvg remains a frigid world marked by hidden abundance, its winding ice-caves and blue-lit valleys harboring scattered descendants of Artriuan origin; quiet remnants of a world once lost, now reborn.

  • A World in Quiet Harmony

Tucked deep within the spiral arms of the Triad Sector, Jabvaj is a planet of rare balance. Its surface blooms with diverse life, while great earthen cities lie nestled in the land itself; grown, not built, in accordance with old traditions. Ancient roots trace back to the lost world of Artriu, though much remains deliberately obscured. Some say the planetary stewards still practice the high arts of a vanished lineage, but few outsiders are ever invited to know more.

  • The Warfront of Scales and Steel

Harlok stands as a bruised but unyielding bulwark in the struggle against the Wiketh threat. A rocky, heat-swept planet rich in minerals and scarred by centuries of conflict, it hosts the forward outposts of the Thyladon - cold-blooded strategists known for taming colossal native beasts into devastating war-mounts. Massive spoutways feed the planet’s rare waterways, sustaining life and fueling the Saurian war machine. Though battered by asteroids and battle alike, Harlok endures, its defenses serving not only its reptilian guardians, but the stability of the entire Bell Quadrant.

  • The Broken Garden

Once a lush world of green fields and diverse ecosystems, Marlon now bears the scars of ongoing conflict. Claimed as a forward command by the Besthianns of Selezarr, the planet serves as a critical staging ground in the war against the Wiketh. But the fighting has taken a toll - entire biomes falter, and ancient native species live under the shadow of mechanized warfare. Marlon’s system includes three nearby sub-planets, and for ages, life traveled freely between them. The result is a world with layered ancestry: distinct creatures from each sister world now cohabitate, bound by a shared struggle to survive amid a planet slowly unraveling.

  • The Shrouded Bastion of Beasts and Kin

Birthplace of the Saurian races, Selezarr is a massive, vertically layered world veiled in dense, shifting atmospheres. Its towering jungles and deep biospheres gave rise to the Thyladon and Besthiann, reptilian species shaped by ages of evolution. After humanity’s first Desolation, select survivors were granted refuge here; though only certain zones are safe for unaided human life. The rest remains wild and untamed, filled with intelligent beasts and ancient forces that hint at the planet’s deep, mythic past.

  • The Forgotten Colony that Endures

Alsonn began as a colonial outpost during humanity’s early expansion, but was left adrift after the collapse of interstellar governance. Isolated and weathered, the planet remains home to a resilient offshoot of humankind, shaped by generations of hard living and preserved tradition. Its engineered biosystems still sustain life, though barely, with old tech and local ingenuity keeping its habitats stable. Alsonn orbits twin suns, basking in prolonged light seasons before plunging into a frigid, multi-year blackout cycle when its orbit drifts into shadow. Though overlooked by the wider galaxy, Alsonn's people endure; proud, stubborn, and deeply rooted in their sun-split world.

  •  The Fallen Archive of Human Thought

Once the crown jewel of human intellect, Caprinna stood as a haven for scholars, archivists, and visionaries - an entire world devoted to study, artistry, and philosophical refinement. Cloaked in near-constant fog and soft rain, its somber, amber landscapes gave rise to immense libraries, monastic academies, and sprawling cultural halls. Though never a seat of power, Caprinna quietly shaped the minds who once ruled.

After the First Human Desolation, the planet was left shattered and silent. Only broken spires and forgotten halls remain; ghosts of a civilization that once believed thought alone could preserve its future.

  • The Lost Cradle of Humanity

Long understood as the birthplace of humankind, Conlann was once a verdant world of oceans, mountains, and boundless possibility. Nestled within the Unilon system, it bore the first sparks of human civilization and stood as humanity’s home-world. But nothing would remain as Taris; the planet’s star collapsed early due to a devastating conflict, and with that, Conlann was shattered; reduced to drifting ruins and dust. Only fragments remain in the void, haunting reminders of humanity’s origin and the cost of its ambition.

  • Born of the Star, Crowned by the Golden Moon

Once a wandering orphan of the cosmos, Gionnis found its course and became humanity’s sanctuary in the stars. Engineered to echo Earth’s balance, the planet was seeded with familiar flora and fauna - an act of reclamation by early settlers.

Its three moons govern the tides and seasons, but none more revered than the Golden Moon, a celestial beacon tied to the planet’s survival and spiritual identity. Today, Gionnis stands as both a symbol of adaptation and a cornerstone of human legacy in the Bell Quadrant.

  • First Contact, Final Fall

One of humanity’s earliest colonies and the site of first contact, Helron was a bold outpost between thriving systems. Its fiercely independent settlers broke ties with Conlann, forging a proud and courageous culture.

But during the First Human Desolation, Helron was devastated. Survivors scattered, many finding uneasy refuge on Selezarr. Those who remained were twisted by war and exposure, and now Helron drifts in a blighted region; its name spoken in dread as a cursed zone of lost promise.

  • The Engine of a Fractured People

Once the seat of the Menomarrian Republic, Torvin remains one of humanity’s most populous and industrialized worlds. Its sprawling metropolises and spaceports churn with commerce and control, ruled largely by powerful corporations.

Though still the heart of human manufacturing and trade, the planet suffers from unrest and decay; echoes of Conlann’s collapse. Beneath its economic might lies a fractured society, where corruption festers and the old ideals of unity fade into shadow.

  • The Hive-Forges of the Scelzoid

Once a vast swamp dotted with ancient orange bacterial mounds, Trite Oni Hoilik has been transformed into a manufacturing nexus by the Scelzoid; a subsect of the Nimjian species. The planet freezes over during its long dark cycle, but the Scelzoid have reshaped entire regions into hive-like enclaves, engineered to maintain ideal conditions for their needs. Beneath its crust and across its metallic spires, the planet thrums with industrial purpose.

  • Wasteland of Rebirth and Mutation

A scarred planet left ruined by its first human settlers, Kiokenn is a monument to collapse and strange resurgence. Toxic winds sweep over decaying mega-structures, while twisted ecosystems have evolved from layers of industrial decay. Bioluminescent fungi thrive in acidic rain zones, and ancient machinery is now fused with native life. Long abandoned, the planet was later overtaken by an alien presence that reshaped it into something entirely other; a crucible where synthetic and organic blur. Few who visit return unchanged.

  • The Salt Planet of Vaulted Secrets

Vast salt plains stretch across Freylonn’s surface, giving way to steep valleys that plunge into glowing subterranean pools. Bathed in the eerie light of a single blue sun and its twin green moons, the planet’s atmosphere hums with static and saline winds. Though partially engineered, Freylonn’s ecosystems have rebelled, with native life clashing with invasive synthetics. The reclusive Scionnese dwell within towering enclaves, buffered by machine legions of their own making. Known as master shipwrights and structural engineers, they rarely leave; but travelers drawn to the planet’s mysteries often return with knowledge etched in metal and salt.

  • The Forged Twin of the Gas World

Engineered in the image of their perilous homeworld, Tyrecon offers the Terwihgians a safer, more stable frontier. Its atmosphere is dense and spore-thick, its terrain laced with artificial ooze channels that echo the living networks of Terwihg. Though smaller and calmer - with only a few moons - Tyrecon hums with industry. As a vital manufacturing node and bustling trade hub, it draws travelers, traders, and tech-seekers from across the Bell Quadrant. Beneath its caustic skies, visitors find both ingenuity and opportunity; if they can stomach the air.

  • The Lightless World

Once a thriving Terwihgian outpost, Zonagg was lost to the Wiketh in a catastrophic siege that twisted its ecosystem beyond recognition. The sun that once nourished the planet has been leached to a cold ember, leaving Zonagg in perpetual darkness. Now a realm of bioluminescent predators and ruinous terrain, it is utterly inhospitable to its former builders. The Terwihgians regard it as a wound not yet healed; an occupied world they hope to reclaim from the Wiketh, who feed off light itself and spread entropy wherever they root.

  • The Red Crucible of the Archix

Barzogg is a scorched and shadowed world, veiled in eternal dusk beneath the glow of its blood-hued moon. Once a tectonically unstable shell, it has been reforged into a grim bastion by the Wiketh’s engineered warriors; the Archix. Towering war-forged cities rise from fractured ground, powered by strange bio-machinery and ceaseless industry. A heart of dark invention and unrelenting conquest, Barzogg pulses as the command center for the Wiketh Grenge across the Bell Quadrant.

  • The Forge of Chains and Dust

Wontac is a scorched and battle-scarred rock orbiting deep in Wiketh-controlled space. Stripped bare by centuries of mining and conflict, it remains rich in rare minerals and darker purposes. Now a crucible of forced labor, Wontac serves as a central hub for the Wiketh’s slave-driven war economy. Amidst its burning quarries and jagged ridges, native apex predators still prowl the wastes, making survival on Wontac a grim contest of strength, cunning, and endurance.

  • The Shrouded Seat of Shells

Bathed in the eerie half-light of a drained sun, Xioxus is a fortress world for the Wiketh intelligentsia. Once home to a tranquil species, its native inhabitants were twisted into the formidable “Shells”; armored warriors bred for war, nearly impervious to assault. The planet’s surface remains largely unknown; all probes sent vanish without trace. What is clear: Xioxus is no longer a world, it is a weapon. And its silence is not peace, but warning.

  • The Ember-Blooded Crucible

A scarlet world of spouting chimneys and rotted spoutway caverns, Vexia is rich in volatile resources and mystery. Once home to an ancient tribal race, it was transformed into a labor colony during the Gionnan expansion. Though dismissed as a backwater, it became the unlikely battleground for a war that reignited the Menomarrian Republic. Beneath its ash-colored skies and within its fuming depths, the embers of conflict still burn; quiet, but never extinguished.
